Today, India has been facing two most vital problems which are directly related to agriculture, the first one is to meet the swelling demand for food and other agricultural products, and the second is enervating the widespread poverty in rural areas by the ever increasing population. The good performance in agriculture can diminish levels of rural poverty and meet increasing demand of agricultural products.The agricultural sector of West Bengal is characterized by the predominance of small and marginal farmers tilling more than 68 percent of the total operated area of the state. Since the scope for bringing more area under cultivation is limited, emphasis has laid mainly on increasing the productivity of crops by using quality seeds, fertilizers etc with improved package of practice and distribution of surplus and vested land. With nearly 72 per cent of the population living in the rural areas, agriculture is the predominant occupation in the State.Our company is engaged in producing agricultural products like rice, cereals, potato, vegetables, ground nut etc in their own lands in Rohini, Ranjitpur Mouja, Paschim Medinipur. We are trying hard to reduce the food crisis by increasing the agricultural productivity through our various agricultural projects.
