Yellow Capsicum's brilliant hue reflects its sweet and excellent flavour. This versatile and popular variety offers just the right amount of sweetness and heat. Peppers with a glossy, smooth skin and a milder flavour are known as sweet peppers. The lovely yellow bell peppers gain their colour by being left on the vine for an extended period of time before being plucked. Their thick walls encircle a large bowl-shaped part to which their seeds are affixed. They have a lustrous, smooth-skinned appearance and are blocky in shape. The flavour of yellow capsicums is fruity, but not as intense as that of orange or red capsicums. When grilled, the yellow varieties are delicious and always a show-stopper, especially in stir-fries. Vitamins C and A are plentiful in Capsicum Yellow.
