It's almost insoluble in water, soluble in many organic solvents, hardly soluble in ether, xylene and kerosene.Unstable in alkaline medium.Light can accelerate its decomposition. Toxicity: Acute oral LD50 of Technical to rats is 8-14mg/kg,acute oral LD50 to dogs is 19 mg/kg, acute dermal LD50 to rabbits is 10200 mg/kg. No irritation to skin and eyes.No toxicity to bees,though it has toxicity to birds, LC50 to pheasant is 573ppm. Packing: In woven bags lined with plastic, 25 kg net each for technical, in woven bags lined with plastic,20 kg net each for granulars. Uses: Carbofuran is a broad spectrum, systemic effect insecticide and nematocide with stomach poisoning and contact action. It is widely used on rice, cotton, corn and sugarcane etc to control various kinds of pests.
