Melia dubia is known by different names in regional languages: Marathi: Kuriaput, Gujarati: Kadukajar, Nimbara, Ambaro, Limbaro, Nibara Oriya: Batra Kannada: Hebbevu Telugu: Munnattikaraka Tamil: Maali vembu Hindi: Ghora-nim, Mahanim Its TRADE NAME is Malbar Neem wood. Melia dubia should not be confused with Melia azedarach. At the nursery stage, both look similar. While it is difficult to grow Melia dubia seedlings ( germination % is as low as 10 % ), it is easy to grow Melia azedarach. Melia azedarach is not fast growing and its wood is not in demand. We can supply genuine Melia dubia seedlings anywhere in India. We raise the Melia dubia plants in the nursery and do not collect the seedlings from the forest floor unlike others. Therefore, our plants are of uniform age and height and do not have root deformities.
