Used to Eliminate or Reduce: The germination dormancy period The need for seeds to require the germination cold period The need for seed for seeds to require heat treatment The need for a germination dry period The need for a germination wet period The need for seeds to require light to germinate Disolving Gibberellic Acid GA3 in Water If you are patient, Gibberellic Acid GA3 will dissolve at room temperature; but, if you prefer to dissolve it more quickly use the following: Carefully heat one gram (about 1/4 teaspoon) of GA3 in 1 ounce of 70% isopropyl alcohol to 100 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm not hot to touch. Warning! At this temperature it is very violatile and it will ignite from a small spark. If overheated the solution could burst into flames or even explode. Once heated; add one liters (about one quart) of water to make 1000 ppm solution: For 500 ppm add two liters of water. For most applications the dilutin range is 10 to 5000 ppm; but, I have only seen 80 to 1000 ppm.
