There are straight, conical and spinescent stipules of 3-9 mm length. Leaves are bipinnate, leaflets in 13-25 pairs, oblong (3 x 1.7 mm) and dark green. Flowering spikes are axillary, hanging 6-8 cm long, cream to yellow in color. The pods are highly variable in size and shape, mostly curved or sickle shaped, cream-colored on ripening and indehiscent.
