These amoxicillin potassium clavulanate and lactic acid tablets are a combination of three medications that are used to treat bacterial infections. Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to the antibiotic. Lactic acid is added to help balance the pH of the tablet.
