Today Automobile aggregates a Brake components like brake linings, pads, shoes etc are required to be tested rigorously for frictional and structural wear and tear. This is to ensure the best and proven safety features to the passenger and vehicle as per norms. Various parameters are required to be tested for this. These require various simulated testing equipments. Brake Dynamometers are used to test various parameters to be tested for Brake linings. The Brake dynamometers will actually simulate the Vehicle Braking condition by having sufficient mass in the test setup and controlling braking patterns.
