By this mode of disc travel, the seat opening varies in direct proportion to the travel of disc which is ideally suited for duties involving regulation of flow rate . It is used in petrol and chemical refinery and power generation serving the purpose of connection and on-and-off duties Features 1.Design standard: BS1873 & ASME B16.34 2.During the operation, the friction between disc and seat is smaller than gate valve. Opening height is 1/4 of seat port diameter less than gate valve.
