Yamaha Two Wheeler & Its Parts Yamaha R15 is the first model for the Indian market designed in the true supersport image and featuring a high-level balance of enjoyable running performance on winding roads. Packed full of state-of-the-art technologies, R15 boasts performance worthy of a supersport model and a body design that evokes the image of the YZF-R series and gives visual expression to the quality of its ride. Yamaha R15 is powered by 149.8cc Fuel Injected liquid cooled engine that will be producing an almost impossible 17bhp with maximum torque of 15 Nm at 7500rpm; which makes it like the most powerful bike under 200cc range and has a 6-speed Transmission. Yamaha is showcasing its potential for India with some real performance. R15 has India's first 150cc 4 valve engine with forged pistons, Delta box frame & 6speed gear box. It's overall length is 1995mm, overall width is 670mm and its wheels base is 1290mm. Since sporty YZF R15 is shorter too and its height is just 1070mm. YZF R15 features F 80/90 -17 inches tyres in the front and 100/80-17 inches tyres in the rear. Both the tyres are tubeless.Features:- Forged Piston: The YZF-R15's engine uses a forged aluminum piston which is lightweight and hard. These types of pistons have traditionally been only on large displacement super sport models. The piston achieves a reciprocal inertial weight that is approximately 20% less than the cast pistons used in engines with the same displacement, resulting in less engine vibrations & an invigorating feelings when revving up.DiASiL Cylinder: The YZF-R15's engine is equipped with a DiASiL Cylinder an all-aluminum, sleeveless cylinder which was born from YAMAHA's world - class aluminum die casting technology. This cylinder ensures excellent heat dissipation, eliminates heat-induced engine power loss , reduces engine weight,and helps improve fuel efficiency.Liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine: The YZF-R15 is equipped with a newly developed 150cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke SOHC single-cylinder 4-valve fuel -injected (FI) engine. It delivers excellent response to accelerator inputs that is an indispensable characteristic for "urban super sport" models, exhilarating acceleration on straight stretches and environmental friendliness.Fuel Injection System: FI was used to ensure excellent fuel efficiency as well as environmental friendliness. The two components that make up the fuel injection system. a).the sensors that gather information on the engine's operation, and b) the fuel supply section that supplies gasoline, have both been designed to be lightweight and simple. The FI system delivers excellent start up performance, fuel economy, and response.Delta box Frame: The frame based on Yamaha's Moto GP experience, forms the basis for riding comfort and handling performance, is a Delta box frame which delivers superior rigidity balance. This frame was designed to provide the best balance in longitudinal, lateral and torsional rigidity. The synergy created by optimizing each dimension delivers a solid riding feel as well as comfort and agile riding performance.Linked Monocross Suspension (multiple cylinder type): The linked monocross suspension is attached to the body via a link. It delivers a comfortable ride and a cushioning performance that is less prone to bottoming out. In particular,it reduces annoying "Sinking " when riding tandem,delivering agile handling performance and riding comfort at the same time.
