Product Description

Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) is manufactured in our fully automated Plant thus ensuring quality of the highest degree. Sulphuric Acid is derived by the DCDA process i.e. combustion of elemental Sulphur dioxide then catalytic oxidation to form SO2 to SO3. After cooling SO3 to 200 A C, it is absorbed in acid to form oleum. This oleum is diluted to get 98% Sulphuric Acid.Application:FertilizerChemicalsDyes & PigmentsPetroleum RefiningEtchantAlkylation catalystElectro Plating BathsIron & SteelRayon & FilmStrictly Privileged and Confidential Page 12 of 14Industrial ExplosivesLaboratory reagentNon ferrous metallurgyTypical Chemical Analysis:Characteristic Technical /Commercial GradeTotal acidity (H2SO4), percent by mass, Min 98Residue on ignition, percent by mass, Max 0.2Iron (as Fe), percent by mass, Max 0.05Lead (as Pb), percent by mass, Max 0.005Arsenic (as As), percent by mass, Max 0.004Physical Properties:Highly CorrosiveColourless, oily dense liquidMiscible with water in all proportionsVery reactive and dissolves most metalsConcentrated acid oxidizes, dehydrates or sulphonites most organic compoundsHighly ToxicStrong irritant to tissuePacking & Storage:CarbuoysDrumsTanker LoadsTank BargesStorage is preferable in cool places
