THE ACTIVATION PROCESS DEVELOPS A MYRIAD OF PORES OF MOLECULAR DIMENSIONS WITHIN THE CARBON WHICH TOGETHER CONSTITUTES AN ENORMOUS INTERNAL SURFACE AREA. THE CARBON ATOMS AT THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF ACTIVATED CARBON EXERT AN AL FRACTION ON THE MOLECULES OF AT THE SURROUNDINGS GASES AND LIQUIDS.
