Adipic Acid

Product Overview

APPLICATION:- Adipic Acid can polymerise with polyalcohol such as ethylene glycol to polyester which often reacts further with ioscyanates to form polyurethanes. Different types of polyesters are produced with the help of adipic acid and they are used as a binder in paint, adhesives and for paper chemicals. Adipic acid is used in the field of medicine incorporated for the formulation matrix tablets to obtain pH-independent release for both weakly basic and weakly acidic drugs. Significant amounts of adipic acid is used as a food ingredient as a flavorant and gelling aid. PROPERTIES:- Adipic acid, %, min 99.8 Solvent color, Pt/Co scale, Hazen units, max 2.5 Molten color, Pt/Co scale, Hazen units, max 35 Melting temperature, A C, min 152 Water, %, max 0.2 Ash, %, max 0.002 Nitric acid, %, max 0.0004 Iron, %, max 0.00006 Oxidants on oxalic acid basis, %, max 0.0045 TRANSPORTATION AND PACKING 25 kg bag, 500 kg big bag, 1000 kg big bag and bulk. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant), of eye contact (irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation. The substance may be toxic to the nervous system, gastrointestinal tract. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substance can produce target organs damage. May be combustible at high temperature.
