Plastic granules are the most frequent thermoplastic material delivery form employed by raw plastic material manufacturers for the plastics processing sector. Plastic granules are a bulk item similar to sand because of their pourability, making granule shipment easier. The plastic is first present in a conveying machine (extruder) as a liquid substance after a chemical reaction to dissolve the numerous molecules (polymerization) and, if necessary, plastic processing (compounding) (melt). The material is then extruded into strands and cooled with air or water. Using a spinning cutter, the strands are next chopped into plastic granules that are barely a few centimetres long. This can now be packaged and shipped with ease.
