Product Overview
Clients can avail from us superior grade range of 5-Bromo Indole. The indole, benzopyrrole chemical offered by us is a yellow crystalline powder with pungent odour and pyrrole ring (five-membered unsaturated ring structure composed of four carbon atoms & one nitrogen atom) fused to benzene ring. Although, tautomerer called indolenine (unsubstituted 3h-indole) and structural isomer, isoindole are also available but they are not appreciated because of their unstable nature. 5-Bromo Indole can be traced in some plants or in coal tar and is also formed in the intestine during putrefaction as well as by certain cultures of bacteria. It needs to be commercially synthesized from phenylhydrazine and pyruvic acid. 5-Bromo Indole features a motif structure by nature, whose common examples include tryptophan (aromatic side chain amino acid), serotonin (neurotransmitter), auxin (plant growth hormone), and indigo (plant colorant). These compounds have functional branches at 3 positions and find extensive usages in perfumery, dyes, agrochemicals & medicines and in the preparation of tryptophan, amongst the 20 amino acids that can be traced in animal proteins. Apart from being widely applicable in the industry of plant growth, these chemicals are also used in the preparation of indoleacetic acid (auxin) and other plant growth substances that help develop plant roots.
