It is used to test for the existence of water discharging from the tiny cracks in pipes whereas when water is nearby, the test paper changes from blue to pink color. Cobalt Chloride is an absorbing compound that changes color in response to humidity. This product is also used as a coarse for other cobalt composites that can be formed in batteries, magnets, lotions, buttons, tyres, dyes, etc.
