This pen is excellent for daily use because of its lightweight design, non-smudge ink, and easy glide nib. The pen in particular is compact, svelte, and pleasurable to hold after a few days of use. The pen is made of plastic and contains a tiny ball bearing at the tip that rotates against a semisolid ink cartridge to roll ink onto paper. A ballpoint tip is made up of a "ball" that can move freely, a "socket" that holds the ball in place, tiny "ink channels" that feed ink to the ball through the socket, and an independent "ink reservoir." Plastic makes up the tip and ballpoint. Polystyrene, a reasonably priced and resilient substance, makes up the pen's barrel.
