These EDSL Ethernet Extender Modem uses EtherLoopTM technology over existing copper phone lines to provide simultaneous lifeline voice and high-speed data communications. It delivers data rates up to 6 Mbps, upstream or downstream, and overcomes issues normally found in copper loops including transient noise, crosstalk, wire gauge changes and bridged taps. EDSL Ethernet Extender is easy to install with a simple RJ-11 plug-in connection to the phone jack. It supports multiple subtending network devices, making it an ideal solution for both single users and small work group applications. VX-EL600 FAQ Both units are powered on, connected to each other but they do not link. The slave lights on the units are green and steady. Please verify that one unit is configured as the Master unit. Dip switch 3 should be in the on position for Master. The Ethernet Extenders works great but they seem to take a while to link to one another. Depending on how long the run is between the 2 units, it may take up to a minute to synchronize. The shorter the run, the faster the units will link. How do I verify if the Ethernet Extenders are linked The link indicator light will become green and steady once the connection has been made. The indicator light will flash fast when the other unit is present and is attempting to establish a connection.
