The increasing desire to create minimally designed faA ade solutions poses some technically challenging questions. In theory, the visually optimal minimalist approach to glass facades is to utilise a single sheet of glass. In practice, this is often to the detriment of the building fabric in terms of U-value, solar control and acoustics for instance and the glass is a fixed solution, with weather and air tightness provided by the glass being embedded into a silicone seal. The frameless glass system can be successfully combined with any of our mechanical products and can be designed to fit within a wide range of existing faA ade conditions and systems. We can also attain a high level of acoustic rating, meaning that our glass panels can be utilised as an internal partition system if desired.
