2 mm thickness red oak plywood Red Oak Plywood is available in sheets with thicknesses of 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, and 3/4 inch. The colour of Red Oak ranges from light to medium reddish-brown, while there is some variance in colour. You can specify the highest grade veneer in any species. The veneer will be smooth, full length, and free of apparent faults or irregularities. The texture and colour of an "A" face on hardwood plywood should be matched. For a nice look, all veneer splices should be book-matched. There should be no abrupt colour or texture shifts between the splices. Sound knots, restored knots, and the rough-cut veneer is not permitted on an "A" face. A face with an A shape allows for some flexibility.
