Make sure a dust mop with a detachable head is clean, dry, and correctly reassembled before using it. If the mop utilises disposable cloths, apply the sheet according to the manufacturer's directions. For the most thorough cleaning, remove small area rugs and mats, garbage cans, and clutter from the floor. Place the mop head on the floor as close as possible to one of the room's perimeters. Pass from one side of the room to the other in long, straight lines. Rep the process, overlapping the passes slightly and keeping any debris out of the mop's way. Keep the mop head in touch with the floor and as flat as possible to avoid dust and grime from spreading. If the mop head becomes too dry, it should be replaced.
