These are used in domestic as well as industrial sectors like Hospitals, Hostels, Hotels, factories, etc for bathing washing & cleaning, boiler feed, industrial processing, industrial canteens, swimming pool heating etc. Plate technology is used in these systems and it is the most popular & economical application of solar energy. There is a solar flat plate collector and an insulated hot water tank. By the black coated copper fins (copper pipe is welded at the central location of the copper sheet) water is heated in the solar flat plate collector. The fin of the system is heated by the solar energy. The benefit of the black coating is that these help in absorption of maximum level of solar energy. Advantages It is MNRE approvedSun tracking feature - Full 360o usage of absorber area, enables almost 94% auto sun tracking efficiency allowing maximum solar radiation input throughout the day. So high temperature can be obtained.Independent of ambient temperature. Ideal even during winter/cold weather conditions.Non metallic glass tubes with wide absorber diameter of 47 & 58 mm prevent choking & blocking of water flow & ensure maximum efficiency & life of the system. These pipes can be manually cleaned. Hence can be serviced easily if precipitation takes place due to hard water.Low cost as compared to flat plate system.Long life span of 15-20 years.Corrosion free.Tube easy to replace if broken due to accidents.
